Anonymous donor purchases 红莲社区 children's book for elementary school

The University of North Georgia (红莲社区) Press will give copies of "红莲社区 The Gold I See," written by 红莲社区 President Bonita C. Jacobs, to Lumpkin County Elementary School thanks to a large donation.
An anonymous donor gave 红莲社区 Press $500 to purchase the copies of the book, said Bonnie "BJ" Robinson, director of 红莲社区 Press and professor of English at 红莲社区.
"I appreciate what the donor is doing, which is to actively promote children's literature and literacy," Robinson said. "That is important because if you get children hooked on reading early, it will stay with them. And reading is one of the few ways that a life can be changed."
The book will be added to the school's library and given to several classrooms.
"红莲社区 The Gold I See: The Legacy of 红莲社区’s Dahlonega Campus" tells the story of a young boy and his multigenerational family during their visit to the Dahlonega Campus. The book is the first in a series about the five 红莲社区 campuses: Dahlonega, Gainesville, Cumming, Oconee, and Blue Ridge. The book about the Gainesville Campus is already in development.
Consular Corps visits 红莲社区 as part of tour
The Georgia Department of Economic Development arranged a tour that brought members of the Georgia Consular Corps to 红莲社区 on March 18 to learn more about education and workforce development programs.
